IN-CHARACTER SECTION The Stormwind Army Recruitment Application
Please fill out the following below as accurately as possible in complete sentences and in your own words. If you are unable to reply with an answer, please give a brief explanation.
What is your full name? What is your race? Velissavia Starseeker. Ren'dorei. 'Void Elf,' if you prefer. Where were you born? Silvermoon City. What is your date of birth? The present year of the Lotharian Calendar is 38 LC. Its hard to recall my precise date of birth. I was born some 500-odd years ago. Where do you currently live? Stormwind. Sort of. What is your most recent occupation? Who have you worked for in the past? I think it best to avoid listing all of my previous 'employers,' or any but a few of them, given what I am. The most I will say is I served in defense of my former home, Silvermoon. As a member of the Horde. What skills do you have to offer? I am well-trained in the arts of subterfuge, infiltration, and assassination. I am also no stranger to the wilds, and can track a trail or sneak through an enemy encampment with the best of them. I have proficiency with pistols, bows, spears, swords, daggers, and throwing knives, though the latter two are my weapons of choice. I also have an extensive knowledge of poisons and, as a result, the antidotes (and components to make them) of said poisons. I am also familiar with basic weapon care along the lines of sharpening and oiling blades, ensuring armor is clean, and so-on. Are you physically fit to serve as a soldier? Do you have any ailments, injuries, or curses? Yes, I am physically fit to serve as a soldier. The only concerning part may be my 'connection' to the void, though the whispers have yet to overwhelm me, and I've no intention of that ever becoming the case. Do you have a criminal record? If so, please explain your crimes and any punishments you endured. Were I still a member of the Horde, I would likely have been executed. Though, that particular punishment would apply to most soldiers of the Horde. Besides that, no, I have no criminal record. Who would you name as your next of kin should you perish on the battlefield? What is their relation to you? Where do they live? I would name none. They abandoned me the moment I was exiled. Do you acknowledge that by enlisting in the Stormwind Army, you will be expected to swear fealty, service, and loyalty to the Kingdom of Stormwind and the House of Wrynn above all other nations and obligations? Yes, I understand and acknowledge this. Do you acknowledge that by enlisting in the Stormwind Army, you will be expected to adopt our ethos, conduct, and way of life as a disciplined soldier? Not the first time I've been asked this, and likely not the last. Yes, I acknowledge this. Do you acknowledge that by enlisting in the Stormwind Army, you may be sent to armed conflict in any part of Azeroth or beyond, with the associated risks and responsibilities involved? Yes, I do. Do you acknowledge that by enlisting in the Stormwind Army, you may be asked to take lives in the act of protecting the Kingdom of Stormwind’s interests? Yes, I do. Why do you wish to serve with the Stormwind Army? If you are not originally a subject of the kingdom, why do you wish to enlist to serve Stormwind over your homeland? I will be frank. I have killed Alliance soldiers before. Many Alliance soldiers. Furthermore, I will not apologize for it. Such is the nature of war. That being said, circumstance cannot be ignored. Like it or not, I have been exiled from my home. I dabbled with the void, and paid the price. Though I left (and joined the Alliance) willingly, it does not change who I am, where I grew up, nor what I have done in the past. However, I do not hold any grudges, nor ill-will towards any soldiers or civilians of the Alliance simply because they are *part* of the alliance. Though at times I may struggle, or question orders, when on the field, I will only do so internally. Other complaints will be brought up when it is an appropriate time. I understand what it is to be a soldier. If I am to remain a member of the Alliance, I must prove myself useful. And I see your order(s) as a means to that end. In which Division do you wish to serve the Stormwind Army? Rangers of Westridge.
OUT-OF-CHARACTER SECTION The following section is out of character; the rest of the application is meant for you, the player, to answer so that we can get an idea of who you are! Please fill out the following below as accurately as possible in complete sentences and in your own words.
Character name (must include alt codes if applicable), race, class and level: Velissavia, Ren'dorei (Void Elf), Rogue, 120. Where did you hear about the <The First Regiment> and why do you wish to join? I saw it listed on the Moonguard wiki, and was interested in joining a military-themed roleplaying guild on Alliance. How old are you? 18, turning 19 in 2 months. Please give a brief summary of your role-playing experience. What, if any, role-playing guilds have you been part of? If you were a member of the regiment before, what were the circumstances of you leaving? I am an RPer with around 6-8 years experience across various MMOs. I have been (and currently am) a member of several RP guilds Horde side; the Dominion of the Sun, Succulent Tarts (on WrA). I've also been in several GW2 guilds over the few years I've been playing that game, and RPed heavily there. Have you read the guild rules in full? If so, what is the guild’s policy on uniforms? I'm assuming you're referring to the "Uniformity" section, in which case: The Stormwind Army prides itself on the Uniformity of its soldiers. When on duty, you are expected to bear the arms and armor issued to you according to your role in the army. You may only modify them with direct permission from a superior ranking officer. Keep your uniform crisp and proper, with the metal components polished to a reflective sheen, no holes or visibly worn places on cloth or leather components.
When indoors, soldiers should remove their headgear unless they are on guard duty. Those wearing hoods should pull them back, while those wearing hats or helmets should hold them in the crook of their left arm. Soldiers in uniform should don their headgear whenever going outdoors, unless specifically ordered to remove it.
When in casual, non-combat situations, you may wear alternative headgear that is simple and non-distracting. This headgear must be approved by a superior ranking officer, and you must remove it when ordered to do so by staff or command personnel. Under no circumstances, though, are you permitted to wear this alternative headgear while in formation.
Exceptions may be made to this rule during times of war or battle where uniform components may be lost on the field or in scarce supply. The degree to which uniformity is enforced depends on the judgement of a unit's commanding officer.
Officers of the royal army are held to a higher standard of public conduct and appearance both on and off-duty. Officers should wear finely pressed clothing and maintain clean appearances as often as possible. They should refrain from using curses and should encourage polite, respectful behavior by subordinate soldiers.
Have you read the service record page in full? If so, list five things that positively affect a person’s service record, and five things that negatively affect a person’s service record. Positive: Earning in-character commendations or awards, attending the majority of events during a campaign, completing major guild writing projects/guides in full, consistently role-playing with members outside of events, hosting guild events every month. Negative: Minor in-character rule violation (per violation), in-character behavioral issues which require coaching, chronic in-character rule violations, poor guild event attendance, chronic or serious violation of in-character r ules. Due to the premise of our guild, we often present ours members with morally ambiguous situations in which morbid or gruesome imagery may be invoked. Your character may be ordered to kill other characters, creatures or animals. We however expressly forbid sexual violence in guild role-play. Do you acknowledge these disclaimers and expectations? Yup, I've very little (if any) boundaries when it comes to subjects such as that in terms of Role Play, etc. If there is any information about your character you would like to give us out-of-character that you could not put into the in-character application, please put it here. Are there plotlines that your character is involved in that could involve the guild? None that I can think of. While its possible that there are plotlines they're involved that could involve this guild (I'm assuming you mean in terms of possible events?), its possible, but at the moment I've nothing of that sort planned. Additionally, I can be easily contacted at Dukedarkflame#9446 on Discord, or Duke#1693 on b-net.

This application is denied. We do not accept Void Elves (Ren'dorei) in <The First Regiment>. We only accept Humans, Dwarves, Gnomes, and Quel'dorei who are neither Death Knights, IC warlocks, or Demon Hunters . Thank you for your consideration, and we more than welcome you to apply with another character.
We have a new website! See all the latest up to date information about Recruitment and more on thefirstregiment.com !
