The Stormwind Army Recruitment Application Please fill out the following below as accurately as possible in complete sentences and in your own words. If you are unable to reply with an answer, please give a brief explanation.
What is your full name? What is your race?
Malcolm Laharr. Human, Worgon afflicted.
What is your current place of residence, and most recent occupation?
Stormwind City. Former priest of the Light for Gilneas.
When and where were you born? The present year is 32 L.C., or 32 years after the opening of the Dark Portal. Years prior to the opening of the Dark Portal are written as P.C. You must be at least eighteen years of age to enlist in the royal army.
I was born in Gilneas City, in 2 L.C.
Give a brief summary of your past experiences. Your youth, family, who you served, what skills or trades you learned, and any noteworthy achievements or failures.
Being born to a hard working family of farmers I had a very humble and average start to my life. Both of my parents spent all of their hours working the small plot of land that had been passed down from his father and his father before him. It was not simply a means of existence but our homestead. We were born, we lived, and we were buried on that land.
As I grew older I began taking trips into Gilneas City with my father. We would set up a stand and sell what produce we brought to market and with the Lights blessing make enough coin to purchase the supplies we needed before heading back home. This was the way of things until a terrible accident happened during one of these trips.
A lamp was left unattended in a store house and due to carelessness a fire sparked and quickly consumed. While the citizens fought the inferno other went into the flames to pull workers and others from certain death. There were so many injuries that day, from burns and people not able to breath after inhaling so much smoke. If was then that the priests from Light's Dawn were dispatched and with their skill and blessings began to heal the fallen and the hurt. As a boy it was the most noble and pure thing I had ever seen. It was that day that I decided that I too would begin to follow the Light.
First it was simply spending time as an alter boy while I learned to read and write and as the years ticked by I began to take proper lessons. After several more years of this those who came to the church began to see me as a priest. In truth I was still a ways from being properly ordained but that did not stop me from doing the Light's work were I could.
All went well until the worgon outbreak and forsaken attack but, i feel you know that story already. Just know that I stood in defense of the Light's Hope and fell prey to the worgon as so many others that day. Since the fall of Gilneas I have been wandering the land going from church to church never staying long. Not many are willing to accept what I have become and I will never lie about my state. I simply wish to help those I can when and where I can.
Who would you name as your next of kin should you perish on the battlefield? What is their relation to you? Where do they live?
Both my mother and father have went missing during the attack and I have no reason to believe that they survived. I currently have no next of kin and anything that belongs to me should go to the church.
Do you have a criminal record? If so, please explain your crimes and what punishments you endured.
I do not have a criminal record as I had little time to get into trouble in my life.
In which Division do you wish to serve the Stormwind Army and the Kingdom of Stormwind?
It is my desire to join the Priory of Westridge with the hope of eventually becoming an official priest.
Are you physically fit to serve in the way you described? Do you have any ailments or curses that would hinder you?
I am physically fit. Traveling has done wonders for the body though once again I do bear the mark of the worgon.
Why do you wish to serve with the Stormwind Army? If you are not originally a subject of the kingdom, why do you wish to enlist to serve Stormwind over your homeland?
Like most that have had to leave Gilneas, I wish to join the fight against the darkness of this world. What better place to do this than the seat of Alliance power. However on a more personal level I hope that the army will see through the burden I now bear and allow me to continue to serve the Light in earnest and aid those who need it's touch.
The following section is out of character; the rest of the application is meant for you, the player, to answer so that we can get an idea of who you are! Please fill out the following below as accurately as possible in complete sentences and in your own words.
Character name (must include alt codes if applicable), race, class and level:
Laharr, Worgon, currently lvl 40 and counting.
Where did you hear about the <The First Regiment> and why do you wish to join?
A dear friend of mine has been a member for several months now and has only spoken good thing. Aside from that I love a guild with a firm structure, ranks, hierarchy, and most of all uniforms! I never had a membership in a military style guild and I look forward to the experience.
Please give a brief summary of your role-playing experience. What, if any, role-playing guilds have you been part of? What were the circumstances of you leaving those guilds? Do you have any leadership experience? If you were a member of the regiment before, what were the circumstances of you leaving?
I have many years of role play experience that started back in City of Heroes. I was part of the Phoenix Insurrection and held the positions of director for one of it's four divisions. The game eventually shut down.
I spent a good amount of time in SWTOR where I once again became an officer in the guild for one of its divisions. The guild eventually collapsed due to it's leader deciding to close it's doors.
Finally I came back to WoW after many years where I have been playing horde on WrA. I became part of the Zingara Caravan for most of that time, sadly the guild also began to fade away as the leaders lost interest. I did not grow into an officer role this time.
That is when I decided to join my friend on Alliance of Moonguard and has led me to applying for the First Regiment.
<The First Regiment> is a heavy role-playing guild that has basic expectations for its members' in-character and out-of-character conduct. Do you acknowledge that trolling, harassment, "criminal" in-character actions or disobedient in-character behavior could result in punishment or removal from the guild?
I understand and acknowledge.
<The First Regiment> is known for issuing out uniforms to its members in order to better visually represent knights and armsmen of the Kingdom of Stormwind. While it is not a requirement for people to be a certain level to gain entry into the guild, most of our uniforms require at least level 25 to equip on a character. Lower level characters will be provided with makeshift uniforms, but lower-level equipment often does not have the same visual appeal. Do you acknowledge that you may be asked to change your outfit and mount to our uniform standard for guild events?
This is one of the biggest selling points! I acknowledge this.
<The First Regiment> employs a great deal of fan-fiction in the overarching story of the guild and its members. Do you acknowledge that you may be asked to go along with some of the guild-written fan-fiction regarding the history and makeup of the Kingdom of Stormwind in role-play?
Of course, this is the heart and soul of a heavy RP guild.
Have you read the Guild Rules? If so, what are the main points of rule #2?
The proper use of In game and Out of Character chats. Namely the guild chat being in character and the Officer chat being out of character.
Have you read Zero Tolerance Policy? If so, what are the main things that the guild will not tolerate?
Sexual harassment or harassment of any kind. (Race, gender, etc.) Public use of slurs. Malicious trolling. Irritating item use in RP hot spots. Disrespecting other guilds.
Have you read Merits and Commendations? If so, list five actions of merit and the last five actions of demerit.
Merits 1. Communicating to Superiors 2. Role-Playing Participation and Leadership 3. Excellence in the Field 4.Fundraising, and partaking in PVP or PVE activities 5.Creative Works
Demerits (last five) 1.Disrespect In-Character 2.Breach of Chain of Command 3.Fraternization 4.Insubordination 5.Assaulting an Agent of the Crown
Have you read and do you acknowledge our Three Strike Policy?
I have and I acknowledge.
Due to the premise of our guild, we often present ours members with morally ambiguous situations in which morbid or gruesome imagery may be invoked. Your character may be ordered to kill other characters, creatures or animals. We however expressly forbid sexual violence in guild role-play. Do you acknowledge these disclaimers and expectations?
I acknowledge all of the above.
How old are you?
If there is any information about your character you would like to give us out-of-character that you could not put into the in-character application, please put it here. Are there plotlines that your character is involved in that could involve the guild?
There are no additional details. I will ask forgiveness if my timeline is off, I found what reading I could to base it on and if pointed out I will happily correct it. This is also a fresh character so there are no current plot lines he is involved in.
